Decide where CORE Insights fits alongside your existing software
Your reporting platform may already produce strong client reports and portfolio views. The useful test is whether CORE Insights improves how your practice prioritises possible needs, prepares conversations and follows them through.
The question for your practice
“If we already use reporting software, what additional job would CORE Insights do?”
Run the same five clients through both workflows. Record what your existing tools and team already identify, then use CORE Insights with the same period and comparable data. Compare the decisions, verification effort, follow-up and duplicated work. If your current process already gives the team a reliable route from portfolio signal to client action, that is a valid reason not to add another tool.
A way to approach it
Begin with the existing workflow
List what your current tools already do well: portfolio monitoring, detailed reporting, forecasting, client presentations or task management. CORE Insights should be judged against the gaps that remain in your practice, rather than a generic feature checklist.
Test a decision, not a dashboard
Take the same small group of clients through your normal review and a CORE Insights review. Compare which clients are flagged, how easily an adviser can verify the reason, and whether the output makes the next conversation clearer. Record differences and duplicated work.
Make a fit decision
CORE Insights may be useful as an earlier triage step, a complementary workflow or a poor fit where the existing process already achieves the same outcome. The trial should help you make that judgement using your own clients. The wider VFD reporting and forecasting toolkit is a separate plan.
Practical questions, answered
What can our current system already do?
Write down the actual steps your team takes today: portfolio review, client-level checks, conversation preparation and action tracking. Judge CORE Insights against that real workflow, not a list of features in isolation.
Will connecting data twice add work?
It may. Include set-up, permissions, data refresh and any duplicate client maintenance in the comparison. A better-looking dashboard alone is not enough if the total effort rises without a better decision.
What should a fair side-by-side trial compare?
Use the same five suitable clients and time period. Note which issues each route surfaces, how quickly an adviser can verify them, whether a relevant next action is clearer, and what time or extra work each route requires.
